In the same manner as the Internet Explorer 9 upgrade was handled in 2011, this program is starting slowly and will accelerate over time to include more computers. This upgrade program started in January for customers who have Automatic Updates turned on. On December 15, 2011, Microsoft announced a plan for Windows customers to automatically upgrade Internet Explorer to the latest version that is available for the installed operating system version. The same IE11 apps and sites you use today can open in Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer mode. Note: The Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will be retired and go out of support on J(for a list of what's in scope, see the FAQ).
